What I liked about the class was that I learned ways to better yourself. I was also able to learn a bit of coding from w3schools. I learned how to become a more effective person. This class helped me with personal development. It was also very helpful when we got time to work on our flash cards. The flash cards have been helping me with AP Chemistry. I have a better understanding on what it means to choose the right.

When it comes to things I didn't like about the class I really don't have any complaint. I enjoyed everything about it. It really helped me improve on myself.

Some recommendations for improving the class is maybe allowing us to spend more time learning how to code because I thought it was really interesting.

A highlight for me in this class was learning about personal development. Also sharing out answers out loud. 

I think I really did my best in class and it reflects by the grade I have for this class. I worked hard and always stayed on task and made sure I didn't fall behind.

I am reading my life planning goals and writing in both goals and sharpen the saw parts. Last month there were days where I missed but in December I've really tried and it shows because I'm yet to miss a day in December.

I am committed to being a CTR person and seeking personal development because this class has shown me how important it is. 

Harvard Medical School

1) Harvard is a medical school that is located in Boston, Massachusetts

2) Applicants much have completed a full year of Biology 

    Complete 2 years of chemisty that covers inorganic chemisty, organic chemistry, biochemisty

    Must complete a full year of physics

    Also must have good lab experience

    Must have completed 1 year of math that satisifies calculus and statistcs

    Analytical and writing skills/expository writing

    Effective communcator 

3) Tuition Fees can be around $53,581

4) Harvard Medical schools offers a lot of degrees like:

     Social Sciences: economics, philosphy pschology

     Sciences: Biophysics, chemical biology, virology

Key 1: Clarity

"have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

                        The first key is clarity. Clarity means to have a full understanding of what you want to do and knowing what you have to do to get there. The quote,"have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do." shows that you should have an idea of what you want to do in life. If you don't have any goals you won't ever get anywhere and you'll be stuck. To have clarity is important because it shows that you have a clear understanding of yourself and that you have set out goals to better yourself.

Key 2: Competence
"If you commit to excellence, opportunitites will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

                          The second key is competence. To be competent is the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. The quote,"If you commit to excellence, opportunitites will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get." shows that if you really put your mind to it you will always receive better opportunities for yourself. It's important to work hard because it shows work ethic and it also shows that you want to make something for yourself. Being competent is important because it shows that you want to strive to be better and that's how people become successful because they work hard throughout there life.

Key 3: Concentration

"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything."

                           The third key is concentration. To be concentrated is to be focus and making sure that you don't let simple things distract you from your goals. The quote, "Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything." shows that you shouldn't let things distract you from your main goals. By showing concentration you show that you are determined and that you want to achieve your goals. This key is an important to personal power because it shows determination and it shows that you want become better and that you alre always focused for what's best for you.

Key 4: Common Sense

• Train your mind 
• Think things through
• Listen to your intuition
• Learn from setbacks

                             The fourth key is common sense. To have common sense is to think logically and trusting yourself. It's important to have common sense because it allows you to make quick decisions and helps you think rationally. If you don't have common sense you won't think of the possible outcomes that can come your way. By thinking like this you won't be able to distinguish from what is right and wrong. It's important to be able to determine from what is right and wrong because it shows the type of person you are. Listed above are four key components to thinking with common sense and will allow you to be better and be more effective as a person and help you with personal power.

                   

Key 5: Creativity

" Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

                                The fifth key is creativity. Creativity comes in many ways and it's important because it's a way to express yourself. By expressing yourself you show your capabilities and what you like. The quote, " Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions." shows us that people who are really creative ask a lot of questions because they want to see how far they can think out of the box and show with what they can come up with. Creativity is an important  key because it allows you to express yourself and it's a good way to show your personal power.

Key 6: Consideration

" The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life"

" Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator. Take courses in listening, speaking, etc"

" If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you'll be the best educated person in history."

                              The sixth key is consideration. To be considerate will help you better understand and being able to communicate better. You show that you are able to respect other people's opinion. The quote, " The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life" shows that if you are able to work better with other people you can get very far. This key is important because it shows a lot of character and it also helps you better yourself. There are also many ways that can help you build this skill the quote, " Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator. Take courses in listening, speaking, etc" shows that you can always work on this skill and will help you a s a person.

Key 7: Consistency

" Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."

" Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that people can depend upon. That if you say you'll do something you do it.."

                                 The seventh key is consistency. Consistency is important because you show that you always work hard and it shows that you can be reliable. By showing consistency you show that you are always going to put effort and that you take your time to show quality of work. The quote, " Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work." shows that it's always better to take your time to do the best you can. another quote ," Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that people can depend upon. Key 8: Commitment

" No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."

"Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed."

                                      The eighth key is commitment. To be committed shows that you are driven and focused to pursue your goals. The quote,  " No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success." shows that without commitment success wouldn't be possible because you show lack of effort and you are unwilling to pursue your goals. The second quote, "Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed." shows that you should always put all your effort into what you are doing so you are able to reach your goals and achieve success.

Key 9: Courage

" The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life"

                                       The ninth key is courage. To have courage is an important characteristic to have because it shows that you aren't afraid to take risks. To have fear holds you back on a lot of things for example going out and accomplishing your goals. The quote," The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life" shows that you shouldn't be afraid to go chase your goals or dreams. Courage is an important key to personal power because it means that you aren't afraid to take a chance and that you won't let anything hold you back. As long as you aren't afraid to take risks you will see that there isn't anything that can hold you down.

Key 10: Confidence

"You only get confidence by doing things over and over again."

                                       The tenth key is confidence. Confidence is important because it's what helps you get over fears. The quote, "You only get confidence by doing things over and over again." shows that by practicing and doing things over again it will help you build confidence so you won't be nervous. Confidence also shows that you have faith in yourself and your abilities and that's important because if you continue to doubt yourself you'll see that you won't get anywhere. Confidence is an important key for personal power because it helps you believe in yourself and you'll see that no goal is unattainable. 

Reflection 

                             The 10 keys to personal power benefit you because it helps you be a better version of yourself. It also helps motivate you to pursue your goals. By applying these 10 keys to your life you will see the positive impact that it will have on your life. The keys that I am applying now into my life are confidence, courage, and consistency and it has helped me throughout my school work so far. I will incorporate the other keys into my life planning plans by always keeping them in mind and always trying to apply them into my life.

             What I learned from hearing Covey speak was that we only see the personality in people when there is much more. He gave us an example of the ice berg we only see the top that sticks out not everything that hides underneath it. With people most of the time we only see their personality but it also comes with a lot of character that we don't see. He also talked about trust and how it plays a huge factor when you are talking to people. You need to show that you are trustworthy.
